Dragonforce make me laugh, I think they're great. A lot of people make the mistake of over-analysing them and in doing so completely miss the point! Listen to their lyrics, read their interviews, they don't take themselves particularly seriously so why is everyone else doing so?! They are just having huge amounts of fun and are lucky enough to have engineered themselves into a situation where they can make a living doing this, if you are looking for artistic merit then you will not find it with dragonforce. You will, however, find people enjoying themselves and this is what really creates their appeal.
For what it's worth, their guitar playing pisses all over most other guitarists abilities it's just that they have reached the point where they recognise that there are far more enjoyable and satisfying things to do in life than attempting to be the most inovative guitarist since satch or vai! :lol:
