They're one of the very few "old" bands that isn't just going through the motions and touring with a second drummer, three backup singers and an army of auxiliary keyboard players. And as people, they've grown old gracefully instead of turning into cartoons of themselves like Whitesnake and Aerosmith.

Funnily enough, I was listening to the remastered Burn last night, and I read that they're remastering Stormbringer for release next spring. :D

I found myself listening to yet more Thin Lizzy, werent they an awesome band? I really think its a shame people only know the hit!

Nekromantix - Return Of The Loving Dead.

More rockabilly and more punk than their earlier work. The rockabilly licks are more rockabilly and the punk rock has become heavier, more complex and very catchy. They have found a way to fuse those styles together very well on this album.

I went to see George Clinton at The Brixton Academy in 96 or 97, anyway he had two dummers, two bass players and 3 guitar players. Not to mention the synths and brass sections. At his peak he would have 70 people on stage. The money ran out for that kind of touring as you can imagine (too much acid

)! The gig started around 21:00 and went on till around 4:00! Most of it was these amazing jams. Dirty funk, it's a bit different to say the least but what a $%&#in' night! 8)

Mum bought me Paul Gilberts 'Get Out of My Yard' for my birthday and its awesome so far, the first track is coolest! His Laney tone sounds nothing like my Laney though.. suppose thats because hes Paul Gilbert and I am not :lol:

Ok edit - after some tweaking, this GH50L NAILS the Gilbert tone! Its awesome.
