I slagged this mob off the other week for being too derivative of AC/DC.

I still think that's true, but goddammit this sounds bloody good!  :oops:  :lol:  And I must say, better than anything AC/DC have done in a looooong time.

been on a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds trip today, having just got the new album, Dig Lazarus, Dig! which seems rather good. but right now i'm listening to Abbatoir Blues, which will shortly be replaced with The Lyre Of Orpheus.

needless to say, i'm in a happy giddy mood!  :wink:

Mistress - In Disgust We Trust is my lunch-making music today.

There must be something in the water, since moving to Birmingham I've listening to absolutely tons of Mistress, Anaal Nathrakh, Narcosis, Napalm Death, Sabbath...

The water in this bloody city tastes disgusting. I can't understand how it can be considered drinkable!? I turn on the shower in the morning and it smells like piss - i have to convince myself it's okay to wash in.
Bad water makes us listen to bad music it seems :lol:

I've only been in that place twice, but it's been infuriating both times, bar staff having a drink and a laugh with you is great, bar staff drunk to falling over and not noticing the inch deep crack they've just put in your pint glass less so  :lol:

Got The Last In Line and Dream Evil albums today to add to Holy Diver album that i already have, though haven't listened to Dream Evil yet but I've listened to most of The Last In Line and it sounds great, like they just picked up from where they left off on Holy Diver. :D

Got my hands on Mutter the other day...  didn't understand it.  Couldn't get into it at all, although people tell me it's great.  I guess you have to be in the mood.

A compilation that Mrs 38th got me-all slide guitar with Son House, Leadbelly, Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Boy Fuller ( beginning to wonder if there is a correlation with slide guitar and sight problems), Tampa Red, Bukka White ..oh the list goes on.
