Rush - Permanent Waves. Only my second Rush album and I love it! Still think 2112 is marginally better though.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Do yourself a favour and get the Mobile Fidelity masters of 2112 and Permanent Waves.

New member kouri101 posted a link to Abbe May and the Rockin' Pneumonia on the 'Pickups' thread, so I'm giving them a listen. Really like them and their guitar tone (H)

Awesome!

I've had Peter Green's 'The Green Manalishi' playing quite a lot recently.

Cool!  Have you heard the Judas Priest version?

Yes I did! I saw them perform it live for some show through YouTube. I enjoyed it.... but it was nothing compared to the original

Do yourself an even bigger favour & get "Rush in Rio" on either CD or DVD.  IMO the DVD is everything a live DVD should be - absolutely fantastic live performance in front of a manic crowd, wonderful setlist (the best setlist of all their live releases) + a documentary that's almost worth the purchase price alone.

Actually, what the hell, do yourself the biggest favour you'll ever do yourself & get ALL the Rush studio releases & all their live releases :D (except "A show of hands" ;))
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

ZZ Top today:

First Album
Tres Hombres
Rhythmeen

Its weird... Previously I liked their synth-infused stuff... now I can't get enough of their earlier material

I have the Judas Priest version on a 12" single.
I've just been listening to:
Rush - Caress of Steel
Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell
Jake E Lee - Retraced
Chris Duarte - Blue Velocity
So many pickups, so little time

Is that the clear vinyl "Evening Star" 12inch with Green Manalishi and a live "Beyond the Realms of Death" on it? Happy memories... :D
It's the first JP I bought, immediately after seeing them on the British Steel tour.
One the first non-Bee Gees records I bought!!
And it's the only piece of vinyl I've ever owned that isn't black!

I have to agree with MrBump though, when I finally heard the original Fleetwood Mac version 5 or 6 years later, much as I like JP's, they seem to have completely missed all the menace in the original.

Meanwhile I've been listening to Free Live.

Nothing as my external drive died yesterday and I have lost about 80 gig of music

The real annoying thing is I got a new iPod and ATM I have hardly anything to put on to it till I rip everything Which involved buying a new drive too :(

Me too but too bulky when travelling, happily though I don't seem to have suffered the loss of too much felt for some live stuff (Warren Haynes 5 CD Cover version set and some live Floyd stuff)

So it's Radiohead , Black Crowes (Warpaint) and podcasts

Waves - Guthrie, making an attempt at the main riff, there's more slides than in a Charlie Chalks.
Laney, Charvel and BKP

Black covered Nailbomb that I want to trade for a Warpig/Riff Raff, PM me
