Alas, back at work, trying to earn an honest buck... (youtube & all are blocked...)

Is it as drastic as the hour of Ted Nugent I've already taken (on prescription) on the way in? :D

- that didn't seem to work...

Finally tracked down a CD copy of Lynch Mob "Wicked Sensation" (I had it on vinyl, so haven't been able to listen to it since my record player packed up a few years back).  Not my usual level of metalness but I fancied something different :)

Had it on in the car this morning - what a great rock album & what great playing by George...

I've still got that Ric Astley thing going through my head.

I actually liked it when it came out, and when being reminded of it yesterday even, and I nearly posted to confess this embarrassing fact yesterday.

But 24 hours later, it's wearing a bit bluddy thin...

This will get Rick out of your head.....

Yep that did it... (bar-steward  - and there was I thinking it was going to be Roy Buchanan...)

Rory Gallagher - Jinx and Fresh Evidence

This stuff is all new to me, and I must admit I don't always like the songs - some of them are just too deeply rooted in the blues for me (I know, I'm a Philistine).

But when the man lets rip on guitar.... Holy Sh!t.  :o

yesterday i had on
Metallica: Kill 'Em All in the car,
Basil Poledouris' Conan The Barbarian soundtrack in the gym ( love it, but think it'll be back to rock next time!)
Mortiis: The Grudge, haven't listened in a while, it really is very good!
and Finally, Iron Maiden: Powerslave.  i've never been into Maiden at all.  the only albums i heard before were Number Of The Beast, which i quite liked, and Fear Of The Dark, which i thought was absolutely terrible! but i've decided to try them again, and Powerslave happened to be the first one i came to.  it seems good enough, i'll listen a few times and see if i'm inspired to pick up any more.
cry HAVOC!! and let slip the pigs of war!!!

I wouldn't say Powerslave is necessarily the best place to start - it has some excellent tracks, but it also has "Back in the Village" (worst Bruce vocal ever, IMO) and "Rime of the Ancient Mariner", one of the most boring of 'Arry's extra-long epics.  But keep going!  :)
