No, no, NO! :lol: You're not that bad. He'd have said the same thing. Just keep working at it, take what you can from him then say what
you want to say. I got hung up on him a few years back - I don't particularly want to be an SRV clone, but I got hung up it, and I find myself sounding increasingly like him (not as consistent, good, etc, etc :( )- and this is even though I'm hung up on other stuff at the moment and not even thinking SRV.
Have you got the Live at Montreux 2DVD? If you really want to get some of "him", the turning point for me was the 1st DVD (the first gig where some of the audience booed him). There's something about the camera angles on his playing, and what he's playing, that opened it up for me. It's not that difficult what he did, but there's a lot of attitude (and practice) in it...
Meanwhile, I'm still hung up on Queen...
