this week it's the new AC/DC album which gets better after a few listens (was 'whelmed' upon first listen).

also digging the new Oasis record which sounded great right off the bat.  the second last track (The Nature Of Reality) has a dirty as f*ck riff in it - love the tone, would be interested to know what the guitar/amp rig was on that one.

Black Ice.

I must have listened to it a dozen times by now and I'm still not bored. In fact, I'm liking it more and more. This album, therefore, is the opposite of St. Anger.

Do you think they went 'power metal'?  It's not how I would have thought of them, but I don't think about categories/genres very much.  I like their stuff for the vocals mainly.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

We might be thinking of two different bands.

TYR is a band from the Netherlands that used to only sing songs in Norwegian about Vikings. When they got signed, they started singing in English and their music got a lot more accessible. Maybe I shoulda said before the went Hollywood ...

Prince - Sign O' the Times
Rammstein - Mutter

A very odd mix
I think I hate being indecisive.

I'm thinking about Týr from the Faroe Islands.  A lot of their stuff is based on traditional Faroese folk songs about Vikings(!) but they've always done songs in English as well.  If it is the same band, I like 'em anyway, Hollywood or not.

So what's on the EP?
