maybe in a while Better or Riyadh and the Bedouin will sit with Coma, Rocket Queen and Estranged on my best of G'N'R cd :)
A 4 track best Of CD? Nice one ;)

I think Axl should have officially gone solo years ago and saved us the agony of debating 'Is it GnR or not?'

As for Chinese Democracy, I got about 3 tracks in and deleted from my computer. I think it sounds messy and dated. Wait.. so does Appetite and I love that album..... PDT_034

GnR = Axl;  Axl = GnR

That's certainly the case now, and I think it probably always was, at least in the sense that he was the real driving force behind the band.

Slash, Izzy and co took away those parts of the "GnR sound" that were theirs, but none of them have actually done anything very good since (IMO).  I'd far rather listen to Chinese Democracy than Snakepit, the Ju Ju Hounds or Velvet Revolver (mind you, he did have 15 years to work on it, of course... ).
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Funnily enough, I was listening to Tom Petty singing that.  Well at least I think it's the same song.

Anyway - John Martin, Solid Air
