Nice to see another Goatsnake fan on t'board. A mate of mine turned me onto them a few months back. Can't get enough of them at present.

Mind you, I have some rather good "Not quite what I wanted" CD's as well. I was asked by my mother once, when she was on her holidays, if I wanted any CD's as a wee present. "Grand" says I. "I hear Black Francis has a new album out. That'd just be lovely". She seemed a bit confused by this. Still, fair play to her. She came home with this.

Appreciate the effort, Ma. Bring me back whiskey next time, though, yeah?

Blaze Bayley - The Man Who Would Not Die.

There is a song on there called 'While you were gone' which although written before his wifes death, it has now become a highly personal song for Blaze and wont be leaving his set list, much in the same way that 'In this river' by BLS has become a tribute to Dime.

AWESOME BRITISH METAL FROM THE WEST COUNTRY!!!

I was watching ZZ Top Live from Texas earlier - 2nd viewing of a chrimbo pressie.

Liking it a great deal... seen them twice - once at Wembley on the Afterburner tour, I was VERY disappointed, I was expecting something different I guess...

And then a couple of years ago at Brixton. They were brilliant, but I was slightly distracted by the fact that me and the girlfriend had just split up - she was in the auditorium somewhere with her best-friend and I spent most of my time checking my phone for a text...

(We got back together a few days later, got married, and have been blissfully happy ever since... :D)

Love this DVD - them boys are three extremely cool dudes...

Going back to the old Mr Bungle self-titled. That and John Zohn's Naked City.
