That $%&#ing Tank - Day Of Death By Bono Adrenalin Shock

I have no idea where this album came from - I've never seen it before and never heard the band, but it's turning out to be pretty cool!

Mastodon - Crack the Skye

Thought I'd give it a try, but I think its pretty shite to be honest. I dont get all the hype about this band, they're so boring.

Eminem's new album Relapse - It's terrible compared to his older stuff like the Slim Shady LP and the Marshall Mathers LP. At some points it is actually unlistenable.

Green Day's new album 21st Century Breakdown - Again, practically unlistenable.
Black Dogs

Previous BKP's: Riff Raff, Holy Divers, Painkillers, C. Warpig, Nailbomb, Miracle Man.

New Dream Theater album.

I've hated the last three and constantly live in hope they'll get back to how good they were befe Train Of Thought but no luck. Though I do prefer this so far to the last three, we'll see if it grows on me.

I'm taken aback by Portnoy introducing things it transpires he's very weak at though, blastbeats in A Nightmare... and he evidentally has no power in his left hand at that pace. A surprise.

Wolfsbane: Down Fall The Good Guys

had Live Fast, Die Fast on yesterday.  was amazed to suddenly realise how much it was like Van Halen!  on ...Good Guys they seemed to find more of their own voice, and much better production.  i really like these two albums, but apart from the fact that Blaze was in Iron Maiden for a while and Jase Edwards has been working with Ginger recently, i have no idea what happened after the second album.  maybe i should find out...?

There was a great live album called "Massive Noise Injection", that was recorded at the Marquee.  A mate of mine was lucky enough to be at that show too.  Ironically, I have a Wolfsbane gig ticket from a different Marquee show signed by Steve Harris, Janick Gers and Bruce Dickinson who I bumped into there.  ;)

Then there was a self-titled album which I was released around the time Blaze left to join Maiden and effectively killed the band.  The version I have was a double CD, with a bunch of extra tracks (including a great cover of For You, originally by Anti-Nowhere League).

Both of those are great albums.  Plus of course between "Live Fast, Die Fast" and "Down Fall The Good Guys" was an EP called "All Hell's Breaking Loose Down At Little Kathy Wilson's Place!".

All of those are definitely worth having.  The "Wolfsbane" album is probably my favourite that they did.  I was gutted that they split up.

I hope they reform to do another tour like they did in 2007.  I missed that one.  :(

:D  I think I have all those Wolfsbane albums, didn't realise I had a complete set!  Not sure if I have the 2-CD version of the self-titled album, though, I must check later.

Wasn't Massive Noise Injection originally released on vinyl only, and they mastered it extra-loud or something like that?  It's one of the last things I bought on vinyl.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

thanks Muttley.  it turns out the Wolfsbane album and Massive Noise Injection were later released as a 2 disc set called Lifestyles Of The Broke And Obscure, so i've ordered a copy of that.  can't find the 2 disc re-issue of Wolfsbane.  i remember reading about "...Kathy Wilson" in Kerrang!, and seeing an interview with Blaze on a late night rock show which i think was presented by Phil Alexander and Ricky Warwick's wife.  they showed the video to Manhunt, which i just loved!  but i could never find a copy of the album. later i got Down Fall The Good Guys, and a couple of years ago i got Live Fast, Die Fast.

Philly, i have a notion it was The Almighty's live album, Blood, Fire and Live, that was the "extra loud mastered, vinyl only" release, although i could be wrong.  probably am.  in fact that's definately wrong.  although i have no doubt i'm right. yep, it was the Almighty.  or Wolfsbane.

Don't remember that, but I had long ditched vinyl by that time...

Yeah, Lifestyles of the Broke... is the main disc of Wolfsbane and Massive Noise Injection.  PM me if you're having trouble getting hold of the other stuff.  ;)
