Agreed, i watched half a song the other night, wasnt at all impressed (hense the "half a son"). There are so mnay bands trying to do 80s metal recently, but they all just seem to be taking the piss. Its just like they all wanna play dress up and rip off motley crue songs
Im in an 80s metal band myself, but we actually take it seriously, even though our name may suggest otherwise. We play a mixture of thrash and nwobhm, the extent of our dress ups is just putting on a denim vest and a kramer.
I think we might have to start some fueds with all the fake metal bands around these parts.

Surely they're just doing what you do in your bands, only they're poking fun at themselves living in the past musically :P

I haven't heard this Steel Panthers stuff yet. I liked the Darkness, but they didn't seem to be taking the p1ss as far as I was concerned - they seemed to be doing what I do, playing the sort of music they wanted to even if it's "out-of-date". I'll have to check these SP guys out
