Biffy Clyro. Going to see them tonight. They're rubbish.

You take that back you dirty slut. I just listened to the new album twice through and it's a belter. Plus they are phenomenal live. Not saw them in a few years but they put on a good show.

I heard their last album lots of times driving around the Highlands in my brother's car a couple of years ago.  They're a good band, not really my thing though.

Just bought Rocks - Aerosmith. Much better than I was expecting.
I think I hate being indecisive.

I've only got Toys in the Attic and Rocks. Both very good indeed. Will be looking at buying some more early stuff.

heard rumours they might be splitting up... not sure if it's been decided one way or the other, though.

Foreigner - 1st four albums

Some cheesy stuff, but Lou Gramm is surely one of the finest singers to ever draw breath.  If they'd had a Neal Schon-like guitarist they'd have been so awesome.

(They did Ok for themselves, though, so what do I know?  )

Just to be awkward, Pump was the beginning of the end for me.  I love Permanent Vacation (even though they were already using outside songwriters) but then it all started to go wrong.

I can't describe how much I hate some of the later singles like "Crazy" and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing", they're just horrible.  And to make it worse, people inisist on singing them whenever there's a "Rock Week" on X Factor or American Idol.  :x

I don't want to miss a thing isn't a rock song...it's barely even a pop song! It's just schmaltzy pap.

Listening to Joan Jett's I love rock n roll album....that's some good stuff!

I did say to Jane that somebody would do "I don't want to miss a thing" when they announced rock week on thje X Factor. When they did do it I went on a rather long rant that it wasn't rock. I don't think any of the songs on there were really rock at all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Gentle Giant

The first four albums are all great but I keep coming back to Octopus.
Without a doubt the best prog band ever, and one of the best British bands of all time IMHO.

Lucie did "Sweet Child O' Mine" (quite well, I thought) and Jedward did "We Will Rock You".

I thought the weirdest one was that so-called rocker Jamie Afro did "Get Your Rocks Off" by Primal Scream, which is NOT rock despite the presence of the word Rock in the title.
