i usually get suspicious when i read "destructurate" in a music review

a reviewer once said I was "visibly bending my guitar strings"

The Scorpions - Tokyo Tapes

...again!!  :D

I think its one of my all time favourites. These days parts of my solos do sound like bad Uli Roth copies ;)

anyway, back on topic,

Insomnium - across the dark.

take amon amarth, teach them to play guitars better and to use more tempo changes, blend them with some typical finnish goth death sound (before the dawn...) and add some classic gothenburg area riff. without the cheesy attitude of "new" bands like in flames and dark tranquillity.
brilliant, i'd say.

The Abominable Iron Sloth - self titled. So ridiculously heavy! I recommend it to any stoner/doom metal fans, though the vocals may take a bit of getting used to.

Phil X's band The Drills - Kick your ass in 17miutes ...surprisingly cool album! Love the punkish attitude it has on it

"Countrypolitan Favoites" by Southern Culture on the Skids, an album of covers done SCOTS style.

After watching that biography on youtube I'm obsessed.  :)

I've been listening to - and watching - the new Kansas DVD, There's Know Place Like Home.

There's an odd bit on "Dust In The Wind" with Steve Morse playing electric violin and looking extremely uncomfortable.

Owl City - Ocean Eyes. Can't tell if I like it yet, it's too much like The Postal Service, only not as good.

I was out running and listened to a bunch of songs I downloaded from iTunes. Amogst them were:

We All Die Young - Steel Heart
Left of the Dial - The Replacements
BYOB - System of a Down
Bad Things - Jace Everett

All great songs to run to for you running fans out there.
I think I hate being indecisive.
