We All Die Young - Steel Heart

All great songs to run to for you running fans out there.

Great song, kinda prefer the Rock Star version though.
For running, I prefer stuff with energy, Cascada, Andrew WK, and a few German industrial things that start with 'F'

God Only Knows is the best song ever written. Fact.

I dunno, we watched My Fair Lady yesterday, and there's some seriously good songs hiding in there, that we'd have to at least consider for "best song ever written"...

Meanwhile, Jethro Tull fans - (you might of course already know about this, but I didn't until I went to spend my chrimbo vouchers...), the Madison Square Garden live broadcast is finally available on DVD!! (+ CD)

I saw it live in 1978, and was slightly bemused but impressed by these strange chaps (I was singing in a classical choir and was a Bee Gees fan, but that was about it). Several years later I got into them in time to buy the 20th anni box set and go to see them on 25th Anni tour... somewhere in amongst the merchandise for one of these they promised me that they were working on the Madison Sq Garden stuff... and now it's here! woohoo!

Also acquired a ZZ-Top double DVD, one of which is a 1980 Rockpalast show- FAB!!!! Not as good sound/picture as the more recent Live in Texas, but MUCH more my cup of tea :D

And two "Classic Album" DVDs - Night at the Opera, and Rumours. On Rumours, there's a verse and chorus of "Never Going Back Again" that Mr Buckingham does just him and an accoustic at the console - utterly sublime...

My Fair Lady has some great tunes. I have meanwhile been listing to Sonny Landreth's  "Grant Street" and "From The Reach" over the last few days.

I am not usually a Musical Film / Theatre follower ; but do like the song " On the street where she lives " from My Fair Lady .

I am currently listening to Nat 'King' Cole's rendering of  :  "The very thought of you "  - with the intention of not only   arranging it for solo guitar ; but also of course  enjoying the lovely melody , Nat's voice, charisma and consummate professionalism .  :)

That is the very song I was thinking of :D

And in the film, it's singer, Freddie, is played by the best Sherlock Holmes ever... not sure whether they let him sing his own stuff... I really wish they'd let Audrey sing her stuff. I've heard some of her demos/attempts, and I think she would have been fine :(

I had to look up who it was.  But yes, Jeremy Brett, definitely the best Sherlock Holmes ever!  :D

BB King - Live at The Regal
Heaven and Hell - The Devil You Know

Both very good but for different reasons
I think I hate being indecisive.

I don't think I know it!   I'll have to look it up later, probably recognise it then.

Palehorse.

Two basses, zero guitars, hunners of sludge.
