Santana - Guitar Heaven

This is the new "guitar classics" covers album.  It's a bit weird.  Some of it works, but mostly it sounds like ol' Carlos just jamming solos over backing tracks of songs he barely knows.  :?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Charlie - Kitchens of Distinction - excellent song on here called Popstar - with a great chorus of 'Is Robbie Williams Gay'!
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals - some great blues/soul stuff
Black Country Communion - Not what you expect from Joe Bonamassa - it's a great rock album
Gov't Mule - Mulennium - live album with some great covers - very Allman Brothers sound (I wonder why!)
So many pickups, so little time

Rory Gallagher - The Beat Club Sessions

Haven't got the DVD to go with it yet, but this new album of live recordings from German TV in 1971/2 is FABULOUS :D

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach. It's a lot different from their other stuff but that's a good thing as I found them really annoying. A lot more rappy which I seem to be into at the minute, so gets a thumbs up from me.

edit - this album has really grown on me. Rhinestone Eyes is so good.

Hello chaps, long time no see.  :)

Currently I'm listening to some classic Crimson Glory:

I love these guys, and it appears they're back in action and will be playing some gigs in Europe next year.  :)

Dimmu Borgir - Abrahadabra

NOT a "real" black metal album by any means (whatever "real" black metal is...), but catchy (commercial...) and atmospheric as hell, 1000 times better than the previous 4 or 5 DB albums...

and i LOVE Agnete Kjølsrud... too bad she guests on just a couple of songs!

Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

to remain in Dimmu Borgir territory, i'd like to have THIS at my disposal to record my band's keyboard parts...

Yes.
Just teasing, I know he's a polarizing character.
Great production, love the songs. Just odd enough to be different and original in a good way.
I downloaded it last night and have listened to it four times already, not gotten old yet.
