Just got the recently released Roy Buchanan Love at Rockpalast album. I know much of it because I've repeatedly watched the selections from that set which are up on YouTube but I thought the sound quality on the CD would be better. It is but not by much. I don't know what was used to record the session but it's not the finest recording ever committed to tape, the cymbals sound particularly off. To be honest though it mostly doesn't matter because you just end up focussing on the majesty of Roy's playing. He really could do everything. The albums certainly worth a listen but it's not very high fidelity.
