Warrior Soul - Salutations from the Ghetto Nation

Haven't listened to this for many years, but one of the songs just popped into my head so I dug the CD out.  Still sounds bloody great!

the new Spit Like This album, Normalityville Horror.  it's good, but i think it'll take a while to grow into properly.  i'm a bit unsure about the production, but the songs seem good.  tuning down and adding vast amounts of pre-amp gain doesn't necessarily make a guitar sound heavy!

been listening to Slash's Snakepit: Ain't Life Grand.  i've decided i think this is Slash's best post G'N'R album.  it's good, raw rock'n'roll.  some good songs on there, and some real nice guitar.  the recent stuff just sounds too... nice in comparison.

Cannibal Ox - "The Cold Vein".

Bloody masterpiece, that record. Productions are great, and the lyrics are pure bloody genius. I really feel it brings the hardships of inner-city life across perfectly, but with SO much more poetic panache and elegance than I've ever seen any other rappers are capable of.

Cannibal Ox is good. There is a lot of good stuff like that out there.

I've been listening to King Crimson - Red, Rollins Band & Bad Brains (Pretty much everything by these bands)

The Kills. They're not the band I though were (got them confused with the terrible The Thrills) and I'm loving this sleazy blues-rock inspired awesomeness!

Sugar - Copper Blue

Just bought the new Deluxe Editions of the three Sugar albums.  Which has also prompted me to buy all of Bob Mould's more recent solo albums.  So plenty of new listening material!
