Another new band for me.  Very, very slow and doomy but with surprisingly melodic vocals.  I like 'em.

(The Cough track on the split EP is genuinely quite scary, in a horror movie kind of way)

Right now I love Tom Waits - Raindogs. Perfect for riding my bike through Malmö at night. Gives everything such a nice dark and obscurely funny atmosphere.

Also some REM - Automatic for the people. Great inspiration. Gonna try do play 1-2 songs off that next weekend at a cabin trip. Nightswimming has such a wonderful arrangement.

Picked up the new Bill Callahan (Dream River) and a Meg Baird (Dear Companion).

Oh and Maya Basier (Ancient Loops).

So, it's pretty mellow here really...

I got the Remastered special editions of Thin Lizzy's last two albums, Renegade and Thunder & Lightning.  From what I'd heard before, I expected to quite like T&H, and for Renegade to be a bit limp.  I've found the opposite.  I'll certainly be giving T&H a few more listens, but I've had Renegade on in the car all week.  It's not a classic album perhaps, but it's quite good.
