Anyone remember this guitar?
« on: October 01, 2006, 12:00:24 PM »
I just went to a guitar shop today with some very interesting axes on diaplay, in particular the 4 humbucker yellow MusicMan in the centre. Does anyone else remember this and it's legendary player?  :D  :D

that is worth some Serious money! Although judging by it's 'friends' the shop is more high class than 'pawn shop' lol.
What price was it, did ya see?

I believe Music Man made/make some replicas.  The original would be worth big bucks - I think it's part of the Hard Rck Empire.

What's the deal with the N4? I saw Nuno use the original N4 last year with Satellite Party at Lollapalooza. Is that just a standard replica, or one that the man himself used?

indeed, but only 25 have been made, so still pretty collectable/pricey would imagine.

That's definately not a pawn shop. Nuno Signatures, a Bigsby prototype, a Trussart.

It's not a pawn shop, it's a very upmarket boutique style shop that's recently opened, they have a HUGE range of Zemaitis (all Japanese made I assume) from the official models at about 3-4 grand each to the cheap Greco versions (extremely tasty too and a snip at only a grand each)!!! And quite a good selection of Gretch and Musicman.

They also have that cabinet displaying some rarities, not sure about the N4 (the one on the left) as this one has an OFR but most have the schaller floyd rose, there is a photo of nuno signing it in the factory though.

As for the MusicMan, I guess this is one of the 25 reproductions as the owner of the shop bought it at a charity auction, seems to tie up very well with the story on the link above. There was no price on it, I don't think it's for sale
There was a silver sparkle leather and diamond plate Mesa stack for sale though, very tasteful

They had a Trussart Steelcaster in a shop when I was in Liverpool, beautiful guitars - sad to know that I'll probably never have enough £££ to justify buying one...

I saw Spinal Tap live on the US tour - at the Beacon Theatre in NYC.  It was a great show and they brought John McEnroe on as guest guitarist on one song!!

Oh and Nigel did use the 4 HB guitar.

Greco metal fronts for a grand?!!
So many pickups, so little time

Metal fronts are a bit more, about 1500gbp, but very nice looking, I prefer the black ones with pearl inlays.
Like this one (ok so this is a bit more than a grand too  )
