OK, for whats it's worth, IMO, to feck and back with distortion pedals!
Get an amp with enough distortion and use an overdrive pedal if needed.
Heck, patience guys. An Engl screamer head went for silly money on evilbay tother day! Heck, got my half stack for silly money (may sell it soonish too, if another GAS attack comes to fruition).
Orange make kickass amps and can find em cheap'ish.
