Hello!

I've been back from Las Vegas 24 hours now. I'm feeling bewildered to say the least, but I've got the weekend off before I go back to work Monday at 6:30!

Ok I got a Schecter Omen 6 in a Pawnbrokers shop for around $130

A HBE Power Screamer for $172

A HBE Dos Mos for $165 They were the only HBE pedals in town!

A huge George L cable and two patch cords for not a lot!

Two things to plug my ipod into. One a nice stereo with a sub woofer for around 90 pounds and a alarm clock for 50 pounds.

A lap top for 700 pounds! It's got huge centrino duo processors, loads of ram, 100 gig HD, 128 meg graphics. All the connectors i need. They would be around 1500-2000 pounds here.

Lot's more other bits and bobs.

Customs did flag me down because of the guitar case. I just remained calm, mugged them off with some bollocks and walked!

I may have been under the the upper limit anyway, but who needs one of Gordon's henchmen looking through your personel effects!

Good deal Johnny,
glad ya had fun and got some deals.

I have USA shopping gas at times still :( Still, missus is still there for now so easy enough (not that she is guitar savvy).

I found, esp. with electronics, it depends where ya are in states. Some places/area's have very little 'new' stuff, as in latest stuff, as demand is not there.

To get the newest camera,laptop etc. in Texas was a chore.

Brought 3 of my guitars in thus far without a look by HM Customs. I truly think they only come out and about for certain 'routes' and tips of course. And btw, you were WELL over allowed limit LOL :)

I got some bad news as soon as i touched down and my head changed badly. I was ready to just barge my way through as i don't actually care any more! They knew it too I can smell it. I had my hand on my passport and gently but firmly took it back of this person and walked off.

I'm just checking out my Home Brew Dos mos with my BKP Strat and a little Marshall 12w reverb. It sounds beautiful!

I love it! Power to the people! As Wolfie Smith would say! If you have to ask your too young or not from here!!

I paid a small excess baggage charge as i had all my cameras with me including my 600m lens with it's own flight case! I worked out there for free accom' and ticket! That was to the airline and i don't mind that. They are struggling too!

Hence the $%&#off spend up! :lol:

gotta love lenses with own flight cases!

OMG, remember when I was diving for living and ALWAYS carried on my air rig.
Hell x-ray ALWAYS freaked, 'what the frig is that?' ROFLMAO!
Also, carried some parts 'emergency' offshore. Try explaining to a US x-ray tech. the cylindrical heavy object is a $25,000 S.I.T. camera (post 9/11) lol.

Love it man!! I dunno how you would do that now! When i got to Minneapolis (speling?) for US customs the guy wanted know a lot of stuff. When he asked me and my bruv what we did for a living, which is driving skip lorrys around London, he said 'Have you ever been in any altercations or been arrested by the Police?' I said 'No' then he glinted a smile and said have a good trip!
