Cold Sweats please.

Ive been listening to a few of the cold sweat clips but what im specifically looking to hear from them, is neck tone with huge sustain and sweetness and bridge tone that demonstrates crisp tones with high gain without ever turning to mud at the very low end of the neck using a les paul.

im dubious about the output figures, they seem very high and in my experience of playing, too high an output figure often leads to lesser defined notes and clarity and string seperation suffers, you guessed it.......im a guy who has always used PAF`s, though i do adore john sykes lead and rhythm tones and thats why im curious about those cold sweat units though only in a Les Paul .

Anybody got such clippage im looking to hear or know where i can source it ?

Wow... this has made me think seriously about putting a Cold Sweat in my neck position.

Do you reckon Cold Sweats could get the Dragonforce, Satriani, Malmsteen and Vai shred tone and be able to handle the galloping rhythms of Metallica and Dragonforce??

:D Hi mate i did this demo of the CS`s a while back. My 8 track recorder has a tendency to compress everything but give this a listen & see if this helps. My guitar has a LP wood configuration [ Mahogany, Maple Cap etc ] & yes the CS will cope easily with Shred & the like no probs at all.

thanks guys for links to clips ill check em out on thursday , ive 0% interest in shred, I play a historic Les Paul and for me its all about emotive qualities and tonal expression ..........LOL ta for the welcome to the ranks.

I play a lot of Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Robben Ford, and stuff like that, the pickups in my Les Paul are Florance Voodoo 59 PAFS , 7.9 / 8.1 in output and those babies sing and then some. If i bought a backup LP id probably take a look at BKP `s.

Hummmm i´m Also Interested in a GOOD clip of a Cold Sweat Neck clip.
is it Ceramic or Alnico? it didn´t get clear for me which magnet is it in the neck position.
Also.. i´m asking that because if i like my Nailbomb-Trilogy Suite THAT much, i´ll surely put Another BKP set. in my ibanez this time.
Maybe a Warpig-Nailbomb, but it depends on how the Cold Sweat Neck Sounds.
I want Maximum Singing, Velvety Smooth Highs(not scooped or reduced at all. but not harsh,screaming or anything like that), slightly crunching mids, and Smooth, Balanced, Bass.
moderated/high output.
