Welcome. Nice clip.  Trilogy Suite is great for that style, and the QR will have enough gain to do the rest!

Ah, cool.

There are several pups that will take you there:
Alnico V pups = Nailbomb, Rebel Yell
Ceramic pups = Cold Sweat, Miracle Man

Ehh... I'm a bit confused by your first post

clip of your Les Paul & QR? Why would you want a strat with the same sound if you can already use the les paul?

maybe I just misread it but dunno

and is the strat H-S-S or what?

Yeah the strat is H-S-S already but i have an old Mightymite humbucker in there at the moment and want to change it,the strat is great for cleans but it really is a back up for the Les Paul at the moment,i would like to use it more but love the sound i have with the LP,if i can get something close then i can have a strat with great cleans and dist sounds hopefully.

I believe Antag said the Holy Diver has quite a thick sound.. so I'd imagine it'd beef up a strat a bit. Never played any of the higher gain pickups myself though other than VHIIs which sounded awesome in a PRS.

 You make it sound so easy :drink:

Threadstarter: I've got a Holy Diver and a pair of Slowhands in my strat (see left :D ). They easily get a sound similar to your clip (although not exactly the same, prolly 'cause of the different woods etc). IMO you could do a lot worse than that set :)

Very true.

I know the amp very well, and what it's capable of, and what the Holy Diver sounds like through it. Unless you're really hung up on getting that tone, I would suggest going with the other pickups I mentioned. The greater cut of the Nailbomb and the Miracle Man, in particular, are great when matched with the Quick Rod.

I agree those are the best four, but I'm thinking Cold Sweat probbaly would be best, next the Nailbomb for what I've gathered from clips.

I haven't heard enough of the Holy Diver to judge but it's definitely an option and I think a very good one.
Real men turn their volume to 11!

Rebel Yells + Les Paul = the Ultimate Rock Pickup.
