You're in luck as I know for definite he uses the RMC-3 custom wha! even if he says he uses Cry Baby, it's just a publicity stunt to pay his bills. (the bald genius). This is the wha that I also use and it gives you wha into the bass and lower mid frequencies (where all other wha's fail) and you can scope your own sound with it AND it's ugly but has the most beautifull wha sound that you'll ever hear, being hand made and 100% true bypass. visit

www.realmccoycustom.com they're the best of the best wha's out there! I've tried everything. and I mean everything and nothing even comes close. The RMC3 is the holy grail and it's what Satch uses for sure! Mine was £186.00 but worth every penny.

That is a bit more than i would like to spend on a wah! I'm sure it rules though, what about the Budda wah, i have heard they are the shizzle.

And he puts that inside a Jim Dunlop crybaby casing does he?
On the live in SF DVD (which Joe was linking to on You Tube) you can clearly see the 535Q, I dare say however that he uses other wahs in the studio much as he has always used lots of different amps and guitars to record his albums.

Here's a pic from his 2003 rig
