I'm clearly in the minority here, but I preferred the first mix. For me the tone in the first one worked better.

Then again, it's not really my type of music, so what the hell do I know

Good stuff though (both versions).

I agree, I prefer the first mix better and think the guitar tone was better the first time, more natural and raw - in a good way.  It also lets the bass guitar 'breathe' more in the mix.  Great song and production by the way!  I loved it!

Ok, i have listene to the three samples...

Even if in the third, you can hear the guitar sound better, the first is the better for my ears

and, I think it's great, because it's a good punk hardcore song, and it's my kind of music!

Good to hear those pickups in this, because I want to buy them in few times...

wow, old thread.

yeah first one is the best, it is just that the bass is trebly and way too prominent.

Vocals are not my thing but the first 15 seconds are godly cuz dissonance certainly is my thing.

I'm listening in an amazing sounding room, and all three mixes sound very good to me, but the first one has the edge. Not keen on the lyrics but like the guitar sound how it was in mix 1, it's not too harsh. It sounds like a de-esser has been over used on the vocals esp bck vox, or do they have a lisp? is it just me?
