Exodus' Tone?
« on: November 04, 2006, 08:20:43 PM »
Everybody who is familiar with thrash metal must have heard of Exodus...

I really love their guitar tone on the latest albums!
check out the song Raze here: http://www.myspace.com/exodus

The question is, does anyone know what's the secret of the incredible heaviness of the tone?
Reminds me a bit of Pantera's tone btw

This part belongs to the pickup section I know, but:
Would custom Warpigs achieve that tone the best?

When I saw Megadeth a couple years ago Exodus opened, both guitarists were using Peavey JSX amps. Not sure if they still use them.
