I said nickel. If the top was figured then I'd have said zebra, but with the plain top, you can't beat the classic nickel. Just rub a little bit of the chrome off the bridge with spirit vinegar and you'll be fine.

burnt chrome. It doesnt matter how innapropriate it is. 8)
Either covered or uncovered black, with black knobs looks dead cool i think. that or raw nickel.

I say nickel. The softer yellow-ish glow matches the top and cream rings better than chrome, IMHO.

I second what Ratrod says. I had the same decision to make in a Honeyburst Les Paul Standard and the above observations proved to be very true.

I also think that covered pickups look classier and more vintage in a lovely guitar like that.

(by the way, I went for 'Mules' as well. They proved just perfect for the Les Paul ).

That does look quite cool actually!  :D

Covered pickups to me always seem to give a guitar a 'stock' look, whereas open pickups make a guitar looked 'modded'. Whether this is just my stupid brain or not, I dunno!

FWIW, those are Zebras.

Reverse Zebras are the other way round, with black outside (screw) coil.

Yes, they would be nice in that guitar... :)

They'd look stock if the guitar in question had been left out in the rain for a year or so ;)
