Pretty Pictures...
« on: November 13, 2006, 11:49:32 AM »
A friend brought a couple of his vintage gibsons into the shop i work in today for a look (and lets be fair, just to point out - hahaha, these are mine) so I took a few pics, he brought his '57 goldtop in the other day but i didn't have a camera argh. he intends to bring his TWO '59 Les Paul Standards in at some point this week so I'll get photos of them too.

So, here we are...1955 Les Paul Junior TV and 1960 Les Paul Junior Doublecut.

SOrry for the humungous photies.

I like juniors alot, the second one looks hardly used except for a bit of finish crazing, looks like a nice chunk of mahogany.  The Tv one looks like the headstock has had a beating, its nearly round at the top!

So you work at sound control do you?

A few more....

two 59 Les Paul Standards and a 53 Custom - one of only 5 prototypes apparently, they were a production model from 1954.

Nice Custom.  Needs some correct replacement knobs rather than speed ones though  ;)

There's a '59 for sale at Gruhn's and it has replacement knobs and a refretted neck and it's practically a steal at $175 000 US  :)
