Rig used:

PRS Custom 24 with Stormy Mondays and McCarty style switching.
Keeley DS-1 Ultra
Keeley TS-9 Mod+
Keeley TS-9 Baked Mod
'74 Princeton Reverb
AKG D660S Mic (Off axis)
Line 6 Toneport UX-1 (Modelling recording pre-amp)

I used various of the pedals in combination through this:

Mod+ on it's own, followed by the Mod+ combined with the DS-1 Ultra, the Baked Mod and DS-1 Ultra, and then the Mod+ on it's own again. I also cycled through the pickup selections with the pickups in humbucker mode.

That's the Keeley TS-9 Mod+ on its own. The natural unaffected amp sound of the same rig is what's heard in the clean clips I posted.

If I get a chance I'm going to work on the pre-amp EQ and use this rig in preference to the DI solution I've been using for my on-line collaborations because you can't hear the kids screaming when the mic's 2" from the speaker :D

My only comment on these pickups is that they are quite microphonic. You can hear them squeel at the end of the clip, and the squeeks from teh strap moving come through loud and clear as well. I didn't install them though, they were fitted by the guitar's original owner.

Microphonic? My stormy monday/mule strat is really well behaved even under alot of gain. Cool demos by the way and some nice playing.

Very microphonic. Up there with the Tele Hot Rails in the bridge of my Yamaha Mike Stern Signature, which I can almost sing through :)

I can only guess that they were subjected to some temperature extremes that have affected the wax potting. It would only have to be left in the boot of a car for a couple of hours for it to have easily seen the sharp end of 40 C, and judging by the tag I found in the case it used to live in Texas before the guy I bought it from brought it to Malaysia. I have no idea when the Bare Knuckles were fitted.

I have completely unpotted Mules, and they are not really microphonic. They only give a hint of squeel at really high gain, more than I would ever use. I do get harmonic feedback quite easily though, but this is only when the strings are not damped, so it is not microphonic feedback.

Nice sound in the clip, I wondered what the Keely stuff sounded like.
