Been playiing around with some riffs thro my new Boss Micro BR- here's a short ditty actually my first clip posted.

Strat with Cailbrated MM> BSM treble booster> Zvex Nano (flat out with bright switches and fat guy setting)> Palmer PDI09 speaker emulator> Boss micro BR

Tom, its just one of the Br's drum rythym default settings with the guitar over the top with some delay.

That's one of the best clips I've ever heard on here! amazing playing mate! For a DI box that sounds incredible, very nice tone. I might buy that DI box, I've been wanting one for ages, and I have been told palmer are one of the best DI's and worth the extra cash.

I wanna hear more of your playing.

Wow - I didn't know Mother's Milks could sound so high gain - awesome, great playing - we want more :D

Yes, the nasty jumps are where I've 'punched in' using a virtual track take and as this was my first recording using the Br I need to look into how to do this better- or just play the raw recording etc- warts n' all!

Regarding the tone I'm really sold on the BSM booster- it really makes the amp go into meltdown whilst retaining the musicality of the pickups.

Would you say the BSM treble boosters would make a bright amp too harsh? I always had the impression that they simply boosted treble for more "cut"..

Tom, in terms of brightness I guess its like turning up the presence control of an amp rather than the actual treble ie they increase harmonic content.

I find they work best with non master vol amps like a nano as you can pound the input stage whilst having a lot of control - I've tried that with an overdrive pedal (amp at full chat and everything on full at the pedal and usually end up with nasty uncontrollable feedback and quite frankly it all becomes unplayable.

And unlike overdrive pedals these type of boosters do nothing special intil the power valve are being fully driven. I'll do some clips with my Marshall and Harly and you can decide.............
