what would be best for my baswood bodied ibanez project? im looking for sometheig to do heavy rock/metal with as iv got another guitar with vhIIs for everything else. the guitars only got a bridge pickup so its got to do lead and rythem. i was thinkin warpig but that might be too musch of a monster for me to handle!! i want something that screams harminics but can do low chugging aswell?

any input? :?

Warpig
Miracle man

Basically all the powerfull ones.

So far all fit the bill. Can you be more specific about what sound you want?

i think its between the warpig miracle man. ive listened to the clips and they all sound wicked. it sounds stupid but im not really looking for a specific sound but i need something that can do lead and rythem well if you get what i mean?? there cant be tha much difference between the high gainers or am i being nieve :oops:

is the painkiller is designed for drop tuning? it will probably be in drop d but thats about as far as ill go!! might string it with 11s though

nailbomb??? bearing in mind the body is basswood? :?: :?:

I have an '89 rg550 in orange.
Contacted Tim at Bk regarding my current pup (emg 81). good pickup but a bit sterile. was after a replacement that was versatile and after telling Tim the current stuff I play he recommended the Crawler. Got some money coming my way Xmas. guess what I'm gonna spend it on?

Alnico Warpig I think would be good. I know there are serval people on this board that have put Warpigs into basswoods bodies and they love them. For how heavy the Warpig is I still think it's a little more versatile than the cermic Pups like the Miracle Man.

thanks for the replies guys! i wasnt aware the MM was ceramic. not too keen on that! i think its between the NB and warpig? i get paid on the 14th so i got to make my mind up by then! at the mo im kinda thinkin that i should just go the whole hog an get a pig :twisted: no pun intended!
