Ceramic Warpigs do Post metal!

Hey,

This is for one of my music production pieces and I just miked up my friends Engl Powerball today. We used a E906 and an SM57, very pleased with the results. Very dark sounding, not the sound I would be after for my band, but i feel it fits the piece.

Love to know what people think....apart from the snare is too loud!

Yay Ceramic Warpigs!

Sounds cool, very dark, though they are just 2 or 3 chords so it is hard to distinguish the whole feel of the pickup.

But still that sounds like it would be awesome choice for death/black/doom metal fans.

nice clip man. Sounds slightly Deftonesy (in a good way!).
I like the guitar sound, the snare might be a bit loud though

hey interesting tone there, it makes me consider getting this pickup, as it's oh so very different to my mule. Loving it, it has a nice natural compression to the tone.

^ I like that clip a lot, and yeah the tone is quality!!

Reminded me of an Arch Enemy song for a bit of it.

Just checked out your other clips, they sound ace!! Did you use the Engl on all the clips?
Am just about to fit my custom warpigs to my 7str Ibanez, I just hope I can get as good a one as you!

Indeed it does!

Its turned out ok now you've mixed it mate. I think messing around with the mic placement (especially the 906) would yield a more defined tone.

You can try a different cab next time too if ya want!
