I really don't get these pickup mouted plasticy things though, why would you put something like that there?!

i have no idea, but it does look a bit naff. I guess it was a cheaper/easier way to allow height adjustment or something...

It's most common on non-scratchplate guitars to have the singlecoils mounted directly into the body but some, like this one, have pickup mounting rings, just as the humbucker does. It's just that they're never as pretty as either direct mounting or as the humbucker one. When you take them out see how deep the hole is, if it's not too deep you may be able to direct mount them for a cleaner look.

By the way your intonation is very pretty but does it work? :D

Nice pics Joe  :D . it looks much better than the eBay ad.

I can see there weren't any problems with the trem floating either!

Yeah, but also i just found out that the humbucker switch goes 3 ways which means on, off and coil split. Wooo!!

And i don't get the intotation thing lol

I am glad that you are happy my crazy friend. I ought to explain about intonation- the note at the 12th fret  should be the same as the open string (except an octave above) and the bridge looks as though it may need to be tweaked. A minor problem and I don't mean A minor the chord, I mean a problem of no great consequence and easy to remedy if, indeed, it does exist. Apologies for being somewhat verbose.
