I finally put my prewired scratchplate into my strat today...loaded with two mothers milks and a holydiver...
I havent played through the single coils much so far, but first impressions are that theyre smoother and less twangy than I expected, in a fairly good way, but I need to play them more. But who cares, when I have the Holydiver..
man, it's turned my strat into the fire breathing beast it always wanted to be. It seems hotter than my EMGs, which is kinda surprising, but I have to say its all i expected and more. Big rock chords sound absolutely massive, but even with the gain cranked, the definition is still there. Hopefully i'm gonna post some sound clips and/or pictures soon...
time to go back and chug through some more whitesnake...i'm still getting to grips with the fact i've got pinch harmonics coming out of a strat...
