Well... after much thought, i decided to go buy an American series Strat, one thing i like about fender is that you can usually choose between Maple and Rosewood fretboards, i chose the Maple with a Chrome Red Body.

mmmmm Lovely

O and then my Chrome pickguard and Black fittings kit came a couple of days after...

Now this is one simple thing i can do, so i fitted it and now it looks something like this..

Nice Huh?  :D

I got some new pickups on the way, but im gonna have to get a shop to fit those seeing as i dont trust myself not to scratch the paint or anything  :P

I'd have personally gone with a black pickguard, not a fan of those mirror ones.

What pickups are you getting then  I take it NOT bareknuckles!

It had better be Bareknuckles.

Best thing about Strats, their customisability (is that a word?).

I have black, parchment and aged parts kits lying around just in case of "emergencies".  $%&# knows if I'll ever use 'em though.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

hey good call mate, that guitar looks amazing. I plan to make my own custom stratocaster myself, which I'll fit with some very high output single coils by BKP, dunno which ones to choose yet. What p/ups have you orderd for your red/silver strat?

regards,

Ben.

My favourite strat ever is that yellow one that Frank Zappa owned, with the black scratch plate and the Floyd Rose, what a tone he got!

Cheers for the comments, in replys to ur questions, I found a nice little website called Brand-F, http://brand-f.co.uk/

The best thing about the site is that they only show items that are in stock and ready to be shipped, I got my Fender Parts next day delivery at no charge for postage and packaging, wheras the shop that i bought the fender from said they couldnt get any parts in until January. Definately worth checking it out if you want authentic fender parts without the long wait.

Also as for the pickhups, oooo was gonna get Dimarzios, but then i set my sights on some Trilogy Suite pickups. However once i got to Professional music technology they offered me a deal, if i bought everything (guitar, amp, hardcase, leads, pickups etc...) from them theyd give a discount, ive always been a sucker for people knocking money off things.

Im saving up for a warpig for my Kramer, thats gonna sound like death when its done!!
