Ok, I've got this recording I made a few minutes ago, just to show you
what kind of bass response we're talking with the Warpig.

Now, Some info, this is a cr@ppy direct line recording from my
roland microcube (5 Watts modeling amp) into my steinberg
external sound card, and this is a standard Warpig, not ceramic.

Nothing fancy, only rhythm, slow than fast, to understand how the bass
works on this beast, you'll need to either crank up your speakrs (which
I hope are hi fi speakers not PC speakers) or run one of these pickups
through a REAL amp ;)

ok, but i know metal comes from the player, but the tone doesn't...

the tone comes from fingers + pickup + amp ..

so, yes, it is part of the metal tone equasion ;)

battle damage black?

yeh Id go with that and then buy some sweet Chrome p/u rings to go with it. It l make your p/u's POP. Tis' the season for Wrpigs it seems. I always felt like I was straying away from the pack and yet here I am being dragged right back into it. Ah the life of a musicians... sorry, I tend to ramble sometimes  :D

Yes to everything you've asked for. It was made for metal, not soft rock  :D

Yeah could you see yourself playing with Michael Bolton with a Warpig?

Warpigs are pretty dark and have metal written all over them...

I wouldn't call a warpig bright with any magnet, but ceramic warpig will be brighter than a normal warpig.
