Now a slightly different clip with some of my toys, Rust Driver comes in towards the end, the Mass is on "Low" setting, the Epi and the Rust Driver are both dimed, PDI09 is OK-ish, but the sound through the G12H30 Cab was much much better than the recorded sound.

I am curious about the weber mass 100. Does it really help? I have 4 pretty loud amps that could benefit from the Weber AND help me avoid getting hearing damage.

I think you should give it a try. If you don't bother about the tone stage in the line out rather get the mass lite (as I did) as it has separate dimmers for lowmid and highmid. Just need an amp that can run on 8 Ohms and a cab that's either 8 or 16.

The Mass Lite incl shipping and customs/VAT will just cost you 180 EUR, not even half of a Hotplate, and you can always sell well on the bay if you don't like it .. for me it's a keeper.

As I've just rewired my cab to 16 ohm I cant use my hotplate anymore now :( I had an old weber mini-mass and it made my tone so bloody dark it was horrible, would you say the Mass you have does that or can you adjust it to be brighter? The start of this clip sounds a bit dull but when you switch on the rust driver it sounds great!

Well, the Epi Junior is quite dark, with or without power soak. With the mass lite you have all the flexibility, I mean there are separate volumes for upper and lower freq attenuation, what else could you need ...?

But I need more time to test before I will give my judgement, I hadn't had the chance to use it in a band situation yet, will see after that ... first impression is good though .
