Cold Sweat/Irish Tour/VHII/Holy Diver/Nailbomb clean clip
« on: December 26, 2006, 06:46:53 PM »
Recorded a quick backing track to work out the solo section in one of my songs & it turned into a BKP-fest so I thought I should post it :)

I used a Cold Sweat neck in my Warmoth VIP for the solo & the picked notes in the middle section.

The strummed chords during the solo are Irish Tour neck & middle in my Warmoth korina strat & IT neck only in the mid section.  The chord in the last part is the Holy Diver bridge + IT middle & the picked notes at the end are the HD bridge.

Buried in the mix somewhere is the VHII neck in my Les Paul.  It plays the low notes of the chords during the solo, doubles the CS picked notes in the mid section & also follows the CS for a few phrases in the solo

The Nailbomb bridge in the LP doubles the HD picked notes for the end bit.

Amp: Mesa Rect-o-Verb 50W head, Mesa 2x12" cab (Vintage 30s)
Mic: Sennheiser E906
FX: MXR M134 (chorus), TC Electronic G-Major (reverb/delay) - only used for the CS to play the solo & the HD picked notes at the end, all other parts are "dry"

Enjoy :)
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

Very cool tone. We must have similar tastes.
