Well with those specs i can tell you right now you won't be finding one as cheap as 500 quid!!

That actually sounds more like a custom order, you sound like a man who knows what he wants, and i think a custom would suit you well since you have the cash for one.

Also i can't think of any normal guitars with all those specs. If you took away the Ebony board then there would be plenty e.g. for superstrats - Ibanez, Jackson etc.

HOLD UP!!

I just remembered one which fits you perfectly.

I've got a Warmoth Mockingbird for sale. It has all the features you want apart from it's a bolt on. Even has a single Bareknuckle Painkiller.

lol, just sold my Kelly, but it was a cheaper model, didn't like the thin neck or bolt-on neck, I usually play Les Paul's, like the thick necks. I got a custom guitar on order atm, not really a Metal guitar though but looking for something more so.

I'd get a second hand original Jackson made in the usa 24 fret guitar, they are excellent but only the USA ones from the 80's and 90s! not the japaneze ones, they are not even close to the originals.

You could also afford a PRS custom 24 from the 1990's which are amazing guitars, you can pick them up from Ebay.

Others you can actually afford are Parker, JJ's which I use (handmade), erm.. not many others are worth considering, there are very few well made guitars out there.

Forget whats popular you need a guitar that's built to last forever. With your kind of budget you're looking at a proffesional quality guitar.

Choose carefully!

Thanks I had a look at that thread.

Edwards E-RV-138 is the baby I'm looking at. I've sent an inquiry to Ishibashi about postage costs and price. would look at their version of the Horizon, but i think it comes with H/S setup, I'm a H/H person myself.

so gigastaff if you wanna go check out the RV-138 feel free to let me know how it plays! though I think someone on the forums said they had the RV...

The E-HR-135QM (catchy name!) is a Horizon type, neck through, H-H. not sure if that one takes your fancy. The Rhoads type one is nice though, get rid of those EMGs and put some Miracle Mans, NBs or Painkillers in and rock

Jackson USA SL1 or SL2 (depending on whether you want H/S/S or H/S)

You won't  get one in a UK shop for as little as £1400, but with the exchange rate so favourable I bet you could easily get one shipped from the US for that.

FWIW, here's what I reckon it would cost:
$2000 + $200 shipping
= £1130
+2.7% import duty
= £1160
+17.5% VAT
= £1365
(NB: the figures aren't exact - I've rounded up to the nearest £5 or £10)
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

If you have £1400 I'd just get a custom and be done with it from someone like Legra...

If you have closer to £500, then that's another story. Also, do you have a good amp? £1400 is a lot to spend on a guitar if you don't...

Well I'm sure I'll get cursed for saying this cause its Marshall, and I know there's a lot of LANEY fans here (I got a LANEY too, only a TF300 mind) but I just bought this in a sale: Marshall AVT150HX Sound nice, much better than my current amp and I can't afford a full Valve amp right now anyway.
