Hi, replaced my Alnico Pro 2's with a set of Brown Sugar's for my Tele this week, and did my first gig with them tonight..

Bloody great, made me realise i shoulda got them ages ago.

The output and clarity pee's over the SD's,,,highly recommended to anyone thinking of getting a set. :D

Ah that is what I wanted to hear(see "pic" thread). So they do the job then. At the risk of all forumites joshing banter, I would ask a fellow Tele player,  would you by any chance have a 4 way sw*tch fitted ? (if not why the hell not   -the first time I have ever used that emoticon incidentally    and that one etc etc till I use all of them) -just curious. I suspect your answer may make me want another Tele just to get a set- GAS is truly a wonderful phenomena.

No, I don't have a four way switch fitted, tho i'm intrigued as how it would sound with one fitted,,it kick's ass standard tho..

Brown sugars with a 4 way switch will be fun

We have done it a few times and the series humbucking sound is nice to use.

It's not actually a series humbucking tone unless you have a RWRP neck....I wouldn't recommend that as the coils are so far apart the tone is really bassy when the coils go into series in pos 4.The best way to use a Tele 4 way mod is with a stock set of coils, which incidently is how we wind almost all our Tele sets unless asked otherwise.Pos 4 puts the 2 coils into series, effectively doubling the output-hold onto your horses, silly grin time!

Did my 2nd gig last night with the Brown Sugar's,brilliant again, not only the tone, but the feel good factor of knowing you've got a guitar round you're neck loaded with a set of BKP's, fantastic!  :D
