Howdy-
I tune to Baritone A below standard E-
gets loose as hell without making adjustments...
I'm gauged at .056,.052,.046,.036,.026,& .017-one plain string, the rest are wound. The tension & pluck factor are there,   essential because  in spite of my tuning, I prefer a 25" scale length (like prs/martin)...
I've tried 27/28" Baritone scales, and choose the short scale for reach, and the "eyes off" factor- i'm used to 25.
I've also fit Bari strings to my SG at one point - The Bass was .070-massive, but it starts turning into bass tone, and the edge went out the window, so now I use what would be to E strings  in a row  for my LowA & D...works for me...
I've been using strings by a Danish Net butik called
www.stringsite.com-They make their own strings, they rock, and unlike everything else in DK,they are fair priced-
You can order bulk sets for a discount on the already reasonable prices,
or order single strings in bulk, and make your own sets-
this is what I do for my workshop-
I'm not interested in stocking a library of strings , because I don't have walk-in customers.I'm just the guitar guy- not a music store.
I usually ask people when they bring me work to bring their own particular brand of strings, or  I use my bulk sets.
- and I make dangerously strong coffee, too.Just thinking about it is shuffling the contents of my innards-I like to put a little of it into my glass full of sugar.-I like my coffee crunchy, like my METAL.
