First I was pleased to discover there is such as thing as "modern drunkard magazine". then it had a quality article about Andre the giant. Had to share :)

Great article about 'the man'!  I thought I did pretty well by drinking 8 bottles of Buckfast in one night>morning but this guy was too good!

8 bottles of Buckfast is good going!
I was bought up within spitting distance of Buckfast Abbey - that stuff is evil

This entire weekend has been lost, Friday night was a mystery and I went to a party last night with my band. Tonight is the first evening I'll actually be in my own bed and I miss the thing!

Its not as bad as one particular weekend which started at 5pm on Friday and the drinking only ended at 1am on the Monday morning, drinking mojito's in a trendy bar with a bunch of people with inside out football shirts on.

one weekend? pah!  in 2004 i started at a local festival, that lasted five days, pretty much constant drinking.  on the last day we left for Crete (i'm never going to a scummy resort again) which was a further two solid weeks of drinking.  so that's nineteen days, pretty much non-stop!  'course then i spent about a week in bed...

cool site by the way.  i'd never heard of Andre The Giant before, but the world always needs larger than life characters like him.  there's also Oliver Reed, Richard Harris, George Best, Richard Burton, Keith Moon, John Bonham, Bon Scott... (you'll notice the common theme is that they're all dead!)

in this anodyne politically correct society we've somehow ended up in, the true hellraiser is a rare breed indeed, truly sad.  of course, while they're wonderful to watch from afar, would you actually want to be one of them?

I challenge thee to a hell-raising duel!

Seriously, me and about 3 of my best friends are pretty notorious for raising hell since our early drinking days (I'd been barred from my local pub 3 times by age 18- never for any nasty behaviour, though)!

^ just spotted you're from Newcastle, i had a wee session there a couple of months ago, went over to see Juliette and the Licks play at the university.  truly shitety venue!  great band though, and i seem to recall enjoying my first few beers....

the problem is, as i get older, hangovers get more and more powerful!!  i can still keep up with my younger mates when we're out, in fact they usually go home three or four hours before me, but the next day i die!  as one mate said, we used to drink for three days and take one to get over it, now it's more like drink for one and take three to recover

nontheless, if we ever get the chance, i'd love to take you up on that duel!!!

pints with whiskey chasers at thirty paces!

What ever happened to proper rock bands, whom if you ever met would drink you unconcious, shag your wife and then rob the contents of your house? I tell you what. Goddammed fricking EMO and their whiny coporate friendly mad-at-their dads ponse arsed suitable for the kiddies lyrics.

Just have a pint, smoke a tab and get over it. The reason you don't fit in isn't becasue society is unfair on you, its becasue you are bloody miserable all the time and upset about being too middle class.

And another thing, try using a different guitar sound from all the other EMO bands while you're at it.

... deep breaths, calming down now, just had to get that out ...

But if you are Emo you must just have to have a PRS AAAAA otherwise you will have to cut yourself.

The best description I have heard about Emos is that "they are annoyed about having nothing to be annoyed about"

I drink when I'm thirsty and I drink when I'm dry and if a jealous husband don't kill me I'll drink till I die.

Oh yeah the girlies all want to shag when the're bagged.
