The avatar does not show cruelty to an animal - rather it shows a pet that has chosen to hump a balloon (with a slightly comical result).
No worse than showing a dog that insists on humping a chair leg or other inanimate object.
Ok there may be a question of the loss of dignity for the pet - but last time I looked - very few pets looked at the internet
But I felt that the clip shows an intention to be mean to an animal in a way that would have a known outcome, and as such seemed cruel.
But since you raise the point I wonder if my avatar seems unkind to others.
Very happy to rethink that one .........
