the "which 7 string pickup" question

hello
this "which pickup" is for a H-S-H maple neck through 7 string, that has a slightly longer than normal scale length (666mm  ), so its a bit brighter.
My favorite sounds are of:

death (symbolic, soun of perserverence)
cynic
wintersun
necrophagist
symphony x (oddisy)

I want the bridge pickup to be very punchy and articulate, slightly rounded top and not too compressed or mid-heavy, with good mids and tight bass. (see bands above)
the neck sohuld be of slightly slower attack and fatter, but not hollow, and should sound good coil-split and for cleans as well. (again - see bands above)
the middle single-coil just have to provide funky cleans (stratocasterish) and balance well with both humbuckers (coil tapped).

the only reference I have is my SD Invader 7, which is undynamic, too mid heavy and sounds unpleasent with chords more complex than power-chords. I want an invader antichrist
also I dont want to have boomy bass left after each palm-mute.
I know anything Tim makes will sound good (so I've heard), but I want it to sound as the above-description-good :D

any reply would be very helpful

Everyone else who replies will no doubt only recommend BKP pickups. Don't get me wrong, they're great stuff... but I would still try heading over to www.dimarzio.com and see what they have. I tihnk you may well suit... by the sounds of things... this is what I came up with:

BRIDGE: X2N7
MIDDLE: Blaze Middle
NECK: D-Activator7

Just ideas, I suggest going checking it out over there.  8)

Personally, I'm a Seymour Duncan fiend and would recommend the classic JB (bridge) and '59 (neck) with something like an Alnico Pro II in the middle.

Hahaha. No. He's got good suggestions. Keep them in mind.

For BKP's, I think a miracle man in the bridge would be best. Its tight, heavy, but doesn't have a huge amountof bass (like the warpig or invader), so you probably won't get any boomyness.
