So my mate was with his other mate and they started pushing each other (not seriously) but then one of them pushed the other into a shop window, and it broke!! The WHOLE window shattered, a huge shop display window!!

They ran off then got arrested at school by the policia!!
They have to pay about £3000 to pay for the window :lol:

Blimey Joe, that must be some window. I deal with this kinda stuff all the time-that seems like a hugely inflated amount and the glass used these days is supposed to be laminated so it shouldn't shatter. I know they are responsible but they should only have to pay the going rate.

I work in Home Insurance and £3000 for just a pane of glass is ridiculous. Maybe the damaged the frame and stock too?

If it is a big window then it may well cost a lot
And to be fair I dont imagine that the glass companies who would have to come out on an emergency callout are cheap either and the shop didnt really have much chance to spend ages ringing around for the best quote.

It may have resulted in a loss of trade while the whole thing was being repaired and sorted out- dont know the shop but it may have had to close for a day or disrupt the flow of business

It is worth remembering that actions carry consequences

£3000 would buy a lot of BKPs

And it was more like £2500 now that i heard the price from them. They both got put in the cells for 8 hours :lol:

But they don't have to pay for the window.
