The Rusty Cooley 7 string is beautiful, but if the last NAMM was anything to go by, it won't be available for a few months

true true but you can always import it from the U.S and get it ALOT CHEAPER to

In theory I could order a US Soltero from the states and make a huge saving, but they still haven't filled all the orders they took for it at the LAST NAMM.

uh the soltero looks so hot.god its mighty hot.

i prefer hardtails....... they are pure sweet lush guitar  :)

i want a Hardtail select (import) in Trans red, then put a Nailbomb (but with a higher output!) in it.

Well....a Ernie Ball / musicman John Petrucci 7-string is pretty nice!
But also not very cheap...It would be nice if there would be a OLP JPM 7-string, but they don't  :(
But if you are looking in a budget class....why don't find a more expensive guitar second hand?

I was wondering...why does everyone like Ibanez guitars?  :D

Well, Ibanez are good at everything except Pickups, and coincidentally we're on a Pickup maker's forum :P

:D  good point maybe  :D

But there are so many brands that are good, and not only Ibanez, but there are soooo many people playing Ibanez...it's the same as driving a Opel / Vauxhall..... no offence though!

Lots of people use them here. And if they don't use one regularly they have one as spare...very well selling guitars here in holland!

I like the Floyds they make; like them better than the original actually...but who needs a floyd when you don't raise the tone  :)

Thanks a lot guys, some really good advice here- also, roughly how much would a new Black Machine B7 cost?  The figure will probably make me clutch my desk in shock and horror, but I still want to know :D

I'm thinking I'll probably go for a Schecter, unless there's an Ibanez seven string which is pretty good quality (and not bolt-on?  Do they make set-neck guitars?) and not too expensive. :D

Ibanez only make bolt on 7 strings. The J-Custom on page 1 is supposedly for sale in Japan only but some UK dealers do get them (they charge you a lot extra though). Some guys here have bought guitars from Japan via Ishibashi and some of the other big stores who will ship overseas. Expect to pay some duty & tax though.

if you can find one a LTD M-307 theyre good solid instruments but hard to come across all they need is a pickup change.

the lower end 207 is a bit naff really due to the agathis body but they are a lot easier to come across

I've been looking out for an M307 for ages. Its a shame ESP don't make them any more. There are occasionally ones for sale on ss.org or jemsite but you'd have to get them shipped for the US.

Also, on a somewhat related topic, how exactly does the Ishibashi webshop work?  There's some really amazing guitars on there for stunning prices, but I can't quite figure out how you order stuff.  All that Japanese. :D

Would someone who's bought from Ishibashi before be willing to PM me some instructions on how you can actually go about ordering stuff from the site?

Thanks!
