Alder - My new Jackson KE-3.

Btw, we'll have to get together some time and do some clips for the forum - comparing the Mule to the Miracle Man!

I think that I've wired things wrongly - was I supposed to wire all the leads going to ground to the volume pot?

It works but is noisy as hell and proper screaming, answers on a postcard

Are you using a coil split?

If not, the two middle leads for a split (green and white) should be joined together and left unattached to anything else.  One of the ends then goes to the volume pot tag (red) and the other goes to the back of the volume pot (black) along with the bare earth.

You should have the red wire going to the left-hand tag on the pot, the green and white soldered together and the black - plus the bare wire - soldered to ground (i.e. the back of the pot).

The middle tag of the pot should go to the "hot" tag of the jack, and the right-hand tag of the pot should also be grounded to the back of the pot.

There should also be two more ground wires soldered to the pot, from the bridge/spring claw and from the jack.

Yep I'm sure everything is right there.

Unless one of the wires has come off (my soldering is cr@p) I cant think of anything else!
