hello
I have a new amp (engl savage 60) that have no reverb, which is the only effect I use (for cleans and the occational heartbreaking solo :roll: )

I need only small amounts of reverb, just to beef up the signal a bit, and I need a very transpearent unit.

any recommendations? (pedals / racks / multi fx)

I would say Lexicon or Alesis-their reverbs seem to be of a good standard.Depends upon your budget and how fussy you are. I bought, off Ebay, an Alesis Nanoverb.It is not the best unit in the world but for the money is pretty good (I paid £35.00) and seems to be transparant and is small and seems to be well made. I am not sure I'd use it in a studio situation but for live work it is pretty good. I am guessing you mean for live work.

the t-rex tube reverb I tried the other day sounded pretty good. Sounded at least as good as the screamer's in-built spring reverb. Depends what you want to spend of course- I'm not sure on the exact price, but I'm guessing quite a bit.

Also, I haven't tried very many reverb pedals so you might want to take what I said with a pinch of salt. But it certainly didn't sound fake or digital.

Lexicon LXP-1 is terrific, and can be had for very reasonable $$.

what do you think of the tc electronic g-sharp?
costs less than the t-rex and have delay as well...

heh, i was trying the t-rex replica (they had a whole pedalboard with the reverb pedal as well, that was Monday, I think), and the sales guy said they were getting tc electronic rack stuff in in the next few days or weeks.

I'd definitely look into what ben (TO) said (and the other guys on here), though. As I said, I haven't tried enough to know for sure, the t-rex sounded good to me, but at the same time it seemed quite expensive for what it was- the replica delay was something like £240, I'm guessing the reverb would be similar.

Though, best to find out what Ben means by reasonably priced. Sometimes people mean different things by that, :lol:

Ive got a holier grail, its deed quiet and pretty versatile, plus i think its one of the few reverb units thats true bypass.
