For starters, this guitar has only 2 pickups, both humbuckers. What if I need a P-90 sound for a song or two? And it's a solid-body, so if I want the warm, woody tones of a fine archtop, I've actually have to buy one of those.
Looks like I'm going to have to continue my search for the one axe that can duplicate every classic guitar sound of the last four decades.
Sound: 1
Plugged straight into my combo amp, this guitar failed to produce the sort of unique and unforgettable tone it takes producers and professional musicians months to create in the studio. In other words, it sounds like ass.
Action, fit and finish: 1
Straight out of the box, the strings were .001" higher than I like them, forcing me to rotate two thumb screws a quarter turn MYSELF. As shipped: 1. With my adjustments: 10.
Finish is OK, but I'll bet I'm going to have to avoid dropping my guitar over a cliff if I want it stay that way.
Customer Support: 1
As of this writing, my phone calls to everyone named Gibson in the Nashville phonebook continue to go unanswered.

If this guitar were lost or stolen, I would check the discussion boards to see what everyone's raving over and buy one of those instead.
