Nirvana save the day & pay for my Tele pimping...
« on: February 15, 2007, 05:53:33 PM »
check this out... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280080536544&rd=1&rd=1

you never know how much those old records are worth - I was amazed to find a book price of £400 for this record.  I'll be happy with anything over £200 since I paid a wee bit less than that as a teenager back in '91.

I'm getting a B5 Bigsby fitted and a single coil Tele pickup in the neck position.  btw, if anyone is after an original 70s Wide Range Fender humbucer it will be going the journey too.

Just be very carefull when posting them, particularly if it's going air mail. I've had no end of records arrive in pieces because some gimp at the post office has taken "Fragile - Do not bend" to mean "Fold in half immediately"!  :x

don't worry mate, there will be layers of bubblewrap, then cardboard, the more bubblewrap, then another layer of cardboard.  if it gets damaged in the mail the insurance will cover it.

I would use some plywood also. Then you'd know the breakage was on purpose.
